The ethos of AC is drawn from Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” AC aims to produce graduates who will bring positive and life-giving change within their communities.

Spiritual formation is embedded throughout the learning journey, including weekly chapel services. There is always an incredible line-up of speakers during the semester, not only church pastors but also professional leaders. There are also specific focus chapels, such as Reconciliation Week.

Chapel services are held regularly on Sydney Campus, Wednesdays 12:15pm - 1pm during semester.

The Korean department also joins together for an annual Spiritual Retreat, as well has hosting ministry conferences and other community gatherings.

AC students have regular opportunities to participate in organised mission trips, both local and overseas, often supporting the ministry of AC alumni through ministry activities, community development and creative productions. This ranges from visiting outback communities in Central Australia, to community development programs in India and providing education programs in Thailand and elsewhere.  We encourage you to get involved in service initiatives which are also a great way to travel the world and make new friends.

Through AC Missions fundraising and weekly chapel offerings, AC also supports AC graduates who are serving in various capacities overseas.

AC hosts Field Study excursions annually either in Australia or overseas which provide students with a unique learning experience outside of the usual physical or virtual class. There are annual study tours to Israel/Jordon or Greece/Turkey to encounter and explore the land and places of the ancient biblical world. There are also faculty-supervised field studies to Thailand and other nations provide rich first-hand experiences in cross-cultural contexts. Students can complete the field studies for credit towards their course of study or they can audit the subject to engage with other students without the assessment component.
