Rev Dr Adam Dodds

Lecturer in Systematic Theology

Adam came to Australia to take up a lecturing position with Alphacrucis. Originally from England, he studied for two Masters degrees in theology at the University of St Andrews (Scotland) and Princeton Theological Seminary (USA). Afterwards he joined YWAM Scotland where he met his wife. They later moved to New Zealand, where he completed his PhD in theology at the University of Otago in Dunedin. Following that Adam was called to become Senior Pastor at the Elim Church in Dunedin which he pastored for over a decade.

Throughout his time in New Zealand he taught courses in Christian theology, ethics, and leadership at the University of Otago and Elim Leadership College, and as a guest lecturer in Tawangmangu Bible College (Indonesia). He also spoke and taught widely in churches, conferences, and colleges on discipleship, the interface of the Gospel with Western culture, and understanding and answering Islam.

Adam has ongoing research interests in theology, missiology, the interface of the Gospel with Western culture, apologetics, discipleship and spiritual formation, and Christian-Islamic relations.
