Jemma Floyd is a Lecturer in the School of Health and Human Sciences and a PACFA registered Clinical Counsellor with ten years of professional experience, including five years in private practice. She holds a Master of Counselling, a Bachelor of Science (Psychology), a Diploma of Ministry, and is currently a PhD candidate.
Jemma teaches counselling skills units and enjoys supporting students on professional placement, particularly those in the final stages of their degrees as they prepare for entry into practice. She is committed to fostering reflective, ethical, and clinically competent practitioners.
Her doctoral research explores attitudes relating to gender inequality and violence within Pentecostal communities. Through her research, teaching, and clinical practice, Jemma is committed to advancing informed engagement at the intersection of faith, psychology, and wellbeing.
