
Susan Tam
Honorary Postdoctoral AssociateSusan recently completed her PhD with Alphacrucis University College, which investigated the lived experiences of women in leadership in ministry.
Susan’s diverse interests focus on her commitment to creative and strategic engagement at the intersection of research, leadership, women’s issues and community development. In addition to serving in multiple leadership roles in the church since 1990, she developed national policies and international testing standards for pharmaceuticals, spearheaded and wrote policies for community development, and was managing director for an NGO that upcycled textile waste into reusable menstrual products for women in developing countries.
Susan’s academic activities include research with the Flourishing Congregations Institute (Ambrose University), which investigates faith transmission and spiritual formation among different congregations and denominations. She is a founding Board Member and Secretary for the Canadian Pentecostal Library and an active member of the Society for Pentecostal Studies Diversity Committee and the Practical Theology/Christian Formation Interest Group. Susan is a member of Pentecostal Studies, Pastoral Theology and Ministry research clusters.
