Digital Learning Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated Digital Learning Manager to lead our Digital Learning Services team and play a pivotal role in advancing the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of online education across the institution.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in digital learning or educational technology leadership.

A Bachelor's degree is the minimum educational qualification required for this role.

Based in Parramatta with a flexible hybrid work arrangement, this full-time permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to influence strategic digital learning initiatives while leading a talented team of learning designers, LMS specialists, and digital content creators.

About the Role

Reporting to the Deputy Vice President Academic & Vice Provost, the Digital Learning Manager will oversee the delivery of digital learning services and act as the primary liaison between academic stakeholders and the Digital Learning Services team.

You will lead the development, enhancement, and continuous improvement of online learning environments, ensuring students and faculty receive a high-quality and seamless digital learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a small, high-performing team of LMS administrators, learning designers, and videographers.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of digital learning services across the institution.
  • Collaborate with academic leaders and stakeholders to support strategic learning and teaching objectives.
  • Oversee the design, development, and enhancement of online learning content and digital learning experiences.
  • Drive technological innovation and digital learning improvement initiatives, including LMS enhancements and system upgrades.
  • Develop and facilitate professional development opportunities for academic and professional staff.
  • Contribute to academic governance committees and institutional initiatives as required.
  • Manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
  • Foster strong stakeholder relationships and provide expert advice on digital learning best practice.

About You

You are a collaborative and proactive leader who combines strong project management skills with expertise in digital learning and educational technologies.

Essential Requirements

  • A higher education qualification from an Australian university.
  • Demonstrated experience in learning design and digital learning environments.
  • Proven experience leading teams and delivering outcomes across multiple projects.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems, preferably Moodle.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Commitment to the Christian faith as a practising Christian.

Desirable

  • Master's degree in Education, Learning Design, Educational Technology, Digital Learning, or a related discipline.
  • Current TAE qualification.
  • Knowledge of Australian Higher Education and/or Vocational Education standards.
  • Experience leading technology-enabled change initiatives.
