We are seeking an organised and student-focused Student and Placement Coordinator to support students throughout their academic journey and assist with the coordination of professional placements across the School of Health and Human Sciences.

About the Role

Reporting to the Student Coordinator Oversight, the Student and Placement Coordinator plays a key role in supporting student engagement, course progression, and professional placement administration.

Working closely with the Placement Manager, School Operations team, academic staff, and students, the role contributes to the smooth delivery of student services and placement activities across the School.

This hybrid role is primarily Sydney-based, with flexibility to work both on campus and remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Student Engagement and Progress

  • Support students with course participation, progression, and engagement
  • Monitor and administer student progress and related reporting
  • Assist with student reviews, data reporting, and enrolment-related administration
  • Maintain and update student resources, Moodle pages, and onboarding materials
  • Participate in student progression and course provision meetings
  • Provide timely and professional support to students and stakeholders

Professional Placements

  • Coordinate placement administration in collaboration with the Placement Manager and Program Directors
  • Liaise with placement organisations, supervisors, and academic staff
  • Ensure placement documentation and compliance requirements are completed
  • Deliver information sessions and student support related to professional placements
  • Provide ongoing support to students while on placement
  • Maintain placement databases and stakeholder records across Australia

General Support

  • Contribute positively to School and College operations
  • Support continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes
  • Undertake additional duties as required by the supervisor

About You

You will be a proactive and highly organised professional with strong administrative capability and excellent interpersonal skills.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience in higher education and/or VET administration
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence working independently and collaboratively
  • High-level computer and database management skills
  • Experience supporting students and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail

Desirable Knowledge and Experience

  • Understanding of ASQA and TEQSA frameworks and standards
  • Knowledge of student lifecycle administration and professional placements
  • Experience working with Moodle or similar learning management systems
  • Existing networks within education or placement settings

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution, or equivalent relevant experience in academic administration
  • A demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of a Christian higher education environment
