Role Title: Trainer & Assessor – VET/HE Diploma Cert III Individual Support (Ageing)
Location: Remote with potential travel to Suva, Fiji
Reports To: Fiji Program Co-ordinator

About the Role

Alphacrucis University College is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Trainer & Assessor to deliver and assess Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) as part of the PALM Project in Fiji. The successful candidate will support students through their learning journey, ensuring content delivery, competency assessment, and student guidance meet industry standards and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and facilitate training for Certificate III Individual Support (Ageing)
• Assess student competencies and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Monitor student progress and support student engagement throughout the course
• Work collaboratively with program staff and local trainers to ensure quality delivery
• Maintain accurate assessment records and submit outcomes to the RTO
• Adapt delivery to diverse learning contexts, including online and cross-cultural settings

About You

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant allied health qualification from a recognised Australian institution
• Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or willingness to complete
• Experience delivering vocational education and assessing competency-based training
• Experience working with students, ideally in online or multicultural contexts
• Strong administrative skills, excellent communication, and ability to work collaboratively

Other Requirements:

• Availability to travel internationally to Fiji

Additional Terms:

• Economy round-trip flights to Suva, Fiji for course delivery are included
• Accommodation rental costs will be covered by Alphacrucis University College, including any public holidays or non-training periods if the trainer has commitments before or after training periods. Accommodation includes amenities comparable to Australia, and internet costs are also covered
• As an AC employee, you will be covered by the University College’s insurance policies
• Students in this training cohort will participate in work placement in Australia. This contract includes the option for incidental hourly work during these placement weeks under the same contract terms, contingent upon availability and operational necessity, and as mutually agreed with the Program Director

Remuneration: $75 AUD/hr (inclusive of contingency hours for preparation, marking, and additional student support as required)
