About the Role

The AC Tasmania State Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the day-to-day operations of AC’s Hobart Campus and creating an exceptional experience for students, staff, churches and other key stakeholders.

Working as part of the State Directors Team, the Campus Manager will provide leadership across campus operations, student experience, staff coordination, community life, marketing and student recruitment.

This is a dynamic, relationship-focused role suited to someone who is passionate about education, enjoys building relationships and is motivated to see students and the campus community thrive.

The position is based primarily at our Hobart Campus, with the ideal working pattern being Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on campus (7.35 hours per day), plus 4 hours on either Monday or Friday.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Campus Operations

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Hobart Campus, ensuring it runs effectively and provides a welcoming, professional and supportive environment.
• Coordinate local campus activities, facilities, communication and operational requirements.
• Identify operational needs and make sound, timely decisions to support the effective running of the campus.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships across Tasmania’s Christian community, including the Australian Christian Churches movement, local churches, schools, pastors and other organisations.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen AC’s presence and impact across Tasmania.
• Represent AC at relevant conferences, events and community initiatives.

Student Experience & Support

• Support an exceptional student experience for Tasmanian students.
• Provide oversight of local pastoral care and academic support in partnership with the National Student Support team.
• Support student engagement strategies, including engagement in online environments.
• Contribute to initiatives that support student connection, engagement and retention.

Student Recruitment & Growth

• Support student recruitment and enrolment activities for Tasmania.
• Coordinate prospective student enquiries and work with national Student Support and Marketing teams to grow local student numbers.
• Maintain awareness of Tasmanian enrolment, new student and retention targets and contribute to achieving these goals.
• Coordinate state-based marketing activities, including conferences, events and other initiatives that support enrolment and campus growth.

Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with Student Services, Marketing, academic staff and the State Directors Team.
• Support effective communication, systems and student support across the campus and national teams.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative and values-driven campus culture.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Demonstrated experience in customer service and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience working within or engaging with the broader Christian community.
• Experience in management, leadership or team coordination.
• Degree-level studies or equivalent relevant experience (desirable).
• Knowledge of, or experience working within, the Australian tertiary education sector (desirable).
