Develop personal character and relationship skills
This unit describes the personal skill development necessary for the capability and growth of a leader. It focuses on personality analysis, goal setting and time prioritisation tasks and group communication and development. A leader’s ability to influence others is grounded on the strength of their own character, their self organisational skills, and their ability to relate to others. Leaders need to be in touch with their own particular needs and those of others to encourage motivation and engagement in those they hope to influence. A leader needs to be aware of the personal management skills they need in order to direct others.
