- Critically discuss biblical, historical and theological foundations of discipleship;
- Assess and evaluate approaches to discipleship used in the practice of contemporary ministry;
- Critically analyse the process of growth in Christian maturity to identify key factors that can assist or impede;
- Appraise and evaluate models that show the phases involved in the process of growth in Christian maturity;
- Compare and analyse the spiritual, interpersonal and social dynamics of discipleship within an Australian context;
- Critique various strategies of discipleship in contemporary congregations.
