Outcomes

Identify and analyse social, historical, economic, legal and political contexts of young people;
Discuss the role of the Chaplain in working with young people in church-based and other community contexts;
Acquire the skills necessary to apply the core values and practice frameworks of Chaplaincy youth work;
Report on the impact of personal and professional values in determining the appropriate approach to working with young people.

Youth work models for various contexts
Principles for relationship building with young people
Collaborating with other agencies
Research in the youth sector
Youth work service provision, including case management, assessment and referrals
