This study will explore how Akha Christians construe and engage with Psalms and the ways in which these engagements converge and/or diverge from three commentaries written by scholars in different cultural contexts. The study will examine how the culture of the participants and their attitude to the Hebrew Scriptures might impinge upon their interpretations and engagements with the psalms and will conclude with a discussion exploring the implications of the findings for discipleship and ministry training in one particular Akha community.
